I met Pame and Juan a couple of years ago, when I had the honor of photographing their wedding. Not long after, they moved from Mexico to Madrid, where they spent a beautiful chapter of their lives before eventually making their way back home.
While they were still in Madrid, I reached out to Pame with the idea of doing a photoshoot before they left. She said yes, and one morning, we met at El Retiro.
Morning light has always mesmerized me. There’s something about the softness, the quietness, and the way it gently wraps around everything that makes it one of my favorite kinds of light to photograph.
We spent the morning walking through the park, talking about their life in Madrid, the friendships they made along the way, and what it felt like to return home after building a life so far away.
Because everything felt so natural and effortless, the photographs came together in the most beautiful way. Nothing was forced; we simply walked, talked, laughed, and let the morning unfold around us.
