Some weddings stay with you for reasons that have very little to do with the photographs. Eli first reached out to me about 15 months before her wedding, and we clicked almost immediately. We started planning her engagement session together, and after photographing those portraits in Charleston, our relationship became something much more than photographer and client. We talked constantly, shared little things, planned, laughed, and somewhere along the way, she became a friend. Now that the wedding is over, I genuinely miss talking to her all the time. You can see the story of how it all started in their Charleston engagement portraits.
Eli and Sam’s wedding at Lowndes Grove was everything I had hoped it would be and more. Every detail was so thoughtfully curated by Eli, together with the incredible teams at Petaloso and Anderson Event, who brought her vision to life so beautifully. From her Monique Lhuillier gown and Roger Vivier shoes to the timeless beauty of the ceremony and the magic of Lowndes Grove, everything felt incredibly intentional without ever losing its warmth. I had the best time photographing alongside Dock House Digital, Love Being in the Moment, and my beloved Dani Torre, and I left Charleston feeling incredibly grateful, not only for the beautiful photographs we created, but for the people and friendships this wedding brought into my life.
Eli & Sam, I’ll carry this one with me for a very long time.
