There are some couples you meet and immediately feel that their love is something truly special. Alex & Servando were that couple for me. From our very first calls, I knew I was going to love photographing them. Whenever Alex spoke, it was almost like listening to a little fairy, while Servando was so involved in every part of the planning. Thoughtful and endlessly caring. And the way he looked at Alex? It melted me every single time. Their wedding at Esperanza Auberge in Cabo San Lucas was an intimate celebration of their love and their Mexican and Chinese roots, filled with the most beautiful little details. One of my favorites was their seating chart, made of origami birds as a sweet nod to Alex’s Asian heritage, while a beautiful blue-greenery palette, Alex’s favorite color, brought the reception to life.
The ceremony took place with that hypnotizing blue of the the Sea of Cortez as their backdrop, and I honestly don’t think there could have been a more beautiful setting for them to say “I do.” Everything about their day felt intentional and deeply personal. But what I will remember most is them; their tenderness and the way they cared for each other. Some weddings stay with you long after the last photograph is delivered, and without a doubt, Alex & Servando’s will always have a very special place in my heart.
